August 3, 2009 Erciyes University Clinical Engineering Research Center (ERKAM)’s regulations published in the Official Gazette  and it’s building construction has been undertaken to HASCELIK group of companies. Our building foundation was laid in March 2010, it has been completed in January 2011 and donated to the university. With the participation of our 11th President Mr. Abdullah Gul, the center officially opened on 11 April 2011 and began to offer services. At the same time philanthropists were donated the devices to be used in the calibration and educational laboratory. Our center building contains laboratories and ateliers covered an area of approximately 1400 m2.

    The basic objectives of the center are; using engineering knowledge and techniques to and improve the quality and efficiency of health services in the development, maintenance and operation of diagnostic and therapeutic medical device technology, enhance the research potential in the field of biomedical engineering, engaged in scientific research and development through master's and doctoral studies by establishing cooperation between Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry and the Department of health sciences and other Disciplines, Faculty of Engineering and other related faculties and departments and contribute to the development of medical technology,  for Vocational School of Biomedical Equipment Technology students and Biomedical Engineering students, create opportunities for internships and/or practice courses in coordination with relevant departments, provide access to practical and current information, to contribute to the education,  contribute to the education of Biomedical Engineering.
